Myth: It’s easier to win the lottery in a bigger city.
Reality: Every lottery ticket has an equal chance at winning. Bigger cities have more people, and so more people playing the lottery. Robert in Raleigh, Ann in Asheville, Erin in Edenton, and everyone in between each have the exact same chance of winning a lottery prize when they buy a ticket!
If you still like to scratch tickets with your favorite quarter or use your dog’s birthday as draw numbers, go for it! Just remember that all lottery games are random. Nothing’s guaranteed. So, just have fun with it!
